Hot! Code Squirrel – Online Code Generator

Overview…

Alright here it goes.  The first idea I would like to share with you is the thought of an online code generator.  You say there are about five hundred sites offering this already?  I can assure you there are at least that many, if not more.  However, my idea includes much more than just a page with a code generator on it.

A little deeper…

My first thought on this is that it will be a web based application/service for websites needing access codes or entry codes.  This could be used if you are holding a closed beta, any type of registration, a web-based game that spits out activation codes, or a site that sells a product that sends an order confirmation number.  Really any number of things requiring automatic code generation.  The code may look something like this:  ypkq-okve or like this OLGXMV1E4QF.  It does not really matter at this point what the code itself looks like.  We just need to make sure that everyone understands that it is a random generated code and that it is never used more than once!

Think MailChimp for codes…

I like the way MailChimp works.  If you are not familiar with MailChimp you can check out the official site here: MailChimp  Think of this code generator application working like MailChimp does only instead of email campaigns and marketing it would be used for, well, code generation and integration.  You would link your site, game, or products to your Code Squirrel account and boom it’s that simple.  Well not really that simple because Code Squirrel does not actually exist but what Code Squirrel would offer is automated code generation and sending.

Code Management

With the website interface for Code Squirrel managing codes and who gets them is easier than ever.  Code Squirrel is setup for people who have little to no web development skills.  This means that anyone can use it.  The different levels of subscription to Code Squirrel would ultimately be based on the level of automation Code Squirrel uses in regard to your account.  You can manually send the generated codes to users or you can have the codes automatically generated and automatically sent for you.

What else would Code Squirrel provide…

What else would Code Squirrel provide?  It seems like it is missing something right?  It does not feel like it is all there.  Well, for starters, Code Squirrel will provide a login page or plugin for your website, game, or store.  This is not required but it will be the integration feature needed for the user who wants to be hands off in this process.  The login usernames and emails are then sent to Code Squirrel and the rest is generated history.  Once again if you do not have the need for the login feature you can still manually generate codes and send them to whomever you please.

There may be a similar service out there…

The internet is a large place.  Many things hide in virtual crevices and cracks.  If there is something similar I have not found it, heard of it, or it is simply used behind the scenes.  Code Squirrel would be available to the public.  What got me thinking of this service is that I am in need of codes similar to what this could provide for my Leet or Delete project.

That’s all folks…

That is about all I can share with you without giving you the key features to this model.  If you wish to learn more about how one of my ideas works and how to access the rest of the information please click here:  Idea Models
